Community First Nights

Our scheme connects us with communities who face barriers to participating in arts and culture activities.

We invite groups to join us for a tour and to see shows across our venues. This scheme is available for a nominal, accessible fee.

Serendipity

Our Serendipity workshops are run in partnership with Autism Hampshire. They are a social opportunity for adults living with Autism. They take place on the third Monday of every month.

Each workshop explores a different art style or theme. Participants can feed back on what they would like to do in future sessions.

Previous sessions have included singing for wellbeing, drama games, theatre tours and employability skills.

To register, please email serendipity@autismhamsphire.org.uk

The History of Mayflower Theatre talk

Discover our rich and exciting history. We guide you from Empire Theatre in 1928, through our iconic rock and roll years as the Gaumont, to Mayflower Theatre as it’s known today – and beyond.

We tell stories and anecdotes from the past, explore the challenges and celebrate our triumphs. We share all the insights into how the theatre runs, from the orchestra pit to the fly floor!  NEW DATES COMING SOON.

You may also book this talk as a private event for £80. Please email engage@mayflower.org.uk.

Arts projects

We work alongside community groups and local artists to run bespoke visual arts projects.

Join us for one of our bespoke visual arts projects. We work with community groups and local artists to create projects that help groups explore new art forms. Groups create art pieces that are displayed in our venue. Past projects have included photography, painting, collages and creative writing.
