Jack and the Beanstalk
Sat 22 Dec 2012 - Sat 19 January 2013
12.00pm Friday 18 January:
Today’s performances of Jack and the Beanstalk are going ahead. For customers who really cannot travel to the theatre today, please contact us on 02380 711811 or email tickets@mayflower.org.uk and we will deal with cases on an individual basis. Saturdays performances will also go ahead as planned.
Book your tickets for our spectacular family pantomime which features an all-star cast and unmissable 3D special effects.
One of the country’s most recognisable entertainers, Julian Clary, will lead the cast in the role of Spirit of the Beans. He will be joined by one of British theatre’s biggest stars, the smooth-talking TV heart-throb, Nigel Havers as Fleshcreep. Lee Mead, West End star, makes his pantomime debut in the title role of Jack. Veteran panto dame and Hi-De-Hi star Jeffrey Holland will play Dame Trot. Making a special guest star appearance is the comedian and ventriloquist Paul Zerdin, as Simple Simon, and his cheeky companion Sam. Wave 105's Shireen Jordan returns to play the Lady in Waiting.
Jack and the Beanstalk has more comedy than you can shake a bag of magic beans at together with outrageous costumes, fabulous sets, and a huge beanstalk…with one very mean giant at the top of it. The traditional elements of family pantomime combine with outstanding visual effects, including a fantastic 3D enchanted forest and journey through to the giant’s castle.
With ticket prices to suit all pockets you won’t have to sell the family cow to enjoy spectacular pantomime at The Mayflower.
Pantomime at its best!
Relaxed Performance
On Tue 15 January at 1.30pm there will be a relaxed performance of the show. This is a specially adapted performance for customers with a wide range of disabilities and for those on the autistic spectrum. The performance will also be audio described.
There will also be a free touch tour before the performance (limited places).
