Congratulations to all for a brilliant first night. Tommy was a great Scrooge. Well done to all the children specially Tiny Tim. Really good scenery and effects. Also great the audience were all on their feet at the end. Well done all.

Wow, what a fantastic show. We have, for a number of years, been going to the Mayflower about 9 times a year. Scrooge is the best show that I have seen there. It is unfair to single out Tommy Steele, who was absolutely fantastic as Ebenezer Scrooge, as all the cast were superb. The special effects were stunning. I have seen some great shows over the years, but that was the first time I have seen a standing ovation. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

As a regular patron of The Mayflower, averaging 6-9 times a year, I am amazed our expectations are always met. Tommy Steele in Scrooge not only lived up to, but surpassed all expectation. Great star, great cast, grat scenery and special effects, and of course orchesta must take plaudits. A truly fantastic must see show, which will live on in the memory.

My hero Tommy Steele was amazing. I have never seen a stage show which truely left me wondering how they pulled off the special effects. Brilliant show.

Absolutely stunning show! Strong cast, brilliant scenery and effects and quality music plus Tommy Steele (nearly 73 but really about 33!). We had travelled down from Bristol in probably the worst rain for many years. Then we got half drowned as a bus driver aimed maliciously through a big puddle as we walked to the theatre. Despite sitting in soaking wet clothes that discomfort was quickly forgotten by the fantastic entertainment on the stage. We love the Mayflower Theatre and the quality of shows it stages. As I am also recovering from serious treatment and a major operation I was especially thrilled with my first theatre outing since 2007.

Lovely show! We really enjoyed our time at the Mayflower, despite the weather. Tommy Steele, and the whole cast, was brilliant. A great start to the Christmas season!

Having just got back from seeing the show for the second time this run, and having just read the Bournemouth Echo's review I have to wonder what show the reviewer was actually watching. The show was just as fantastic today as it was two years ago. The set is impressive because it really gives the open feel of a London street which could extend far into the wings enhanced by the fantastic lighting and special effects. Although Tuesday night there was a little problem with the sound right at the beginning this was quickly rectified and did not continue into the show. All of the cast were superb making one of the dullest songs in a musical more interesting (Make the most of this world) and with some ingenious choreography the dances were well performed shifting from scene to scene effortlessly. Tommy Steele does have the kind of face that never looks angry and for some, can seem not miserable enough at the start, but he still played his part exceptionally well, adding humour where needed. One of the best known and probably one of the most adapted Dickens stories never fails to bring tears of sadness AND joy, and this was no different. Just a shame I cant afford to see it every night. Well done and thank you to the whole team. I have only one thing to say to the Bournemouth Echo - Bah! Humbug, maybe it is you who needs to be visited by a few spirits.

WELL DONE TOMMY-WHAT A TROOPER--THOROUGLY ENJOYED THE SHOW- GOOD ACOUSTICS -SMOOTH SCENE MOVING-COLOUFUL AND MUCH LIKE A CHRISTMAS CARD. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE CAST AND THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY VISIT TO THE MAYFLOWER SO WORTHWHILE

No one does it like Tommy! An entertainment superstar, this gentleman ticked all the performing boxes and delivered the lead role as no-one else but he could. The role of Scrooge is a tough and demanding one, with considerable dialogues which require a lot of individual crafting Tommy achieved all that the role asks for, plus more. Nice one Tommy, long may you reign. We will love and respect you always.. But above all, what really worked was his rapport with the cast - all of them worked together with respect and true craft. A great team effort. Tommy is a great leader and great at 'teamwork'. For a show to succeed the Lead has to be top notch of course, but also able to lead his team. Tommy did just that. Nice one!

Wonderful entertainment - all the cast gave superb performances - "Christmas Present" was especially good - and as for Tommy Steel - what a trooper, a real star - professional from top to toe - I enjoyed every minute of it.
