Groups numbering 20 or more

Groups numbering between 10 and 19
Full payment is due two weeks from the date of the reservation, if booked over the phone through Mayflower Group Bookings. If payment is not received, the booking will be cancelled. Tickets can be purchased across the counter, but please note in this case tickets can only be reserved at the counter for 3 days.
Late Group Bookings
All group bookings made within six weeks of the performance date must be paid for in full within three working days, and bookings made within one week of the performance date must be paid for in full at the time of booking.
General group booking conditions
Payments may be made over the phone by credit card or debit card or by single cheque in the post. Payments may be made in person using a credit card, debit card, single cheque (made payable to Mayflower Theatre) or cash at The Mayflower box office counter Monday - Thursday between 9.30am - 5.30pm and Fridays 10am - 5.30pm.
Numbers of tickets may be adjusted, subject to availability, up until the time the balance is due.
If requirements fall below the qualifying number for group discount, the full price will apply.
Additional tickets may be purchased after payment, subject to availability, at the rate applied to the initial booking (no reservations), unless the discount offer has expired. No additional free seats will be applicable.
Once tickets have been issued, no refunds can be made. It may be possible to exchange one or more tickets for another performance of the same production, subject to availability and seven days' notice. Exchanges must be requested by the person who made the booking on behalf of the group. No exchanges will be made if the effect will be to reduce the group booking below the number qualifying for group discount. There is a handling charge for this service of £1.00 per ticket. Please note: Exchanged tickets will be charged at the same price or higher, depending on the price and discount applicable to the revised booking.
Group booking terms may not apply to one night shows and other specified productions.
A booking fee is applied to all bookings except those booked and paid for during the Premium booking period, school bookings and wheelchair spaces. Personal callers can reserve seats in the Box Office, but tickets must be purchased in person within 3 days.
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions without notice either generally or for particular shows. Last updated 21st June 2007.
School Visits - Risk Assessments
This information should help complete your risk assessment form prior to your visit. Each year The Mayflower welcomes thousands of students from schools and colleges to its premises, in addition to receiving some 50,000 theatre visitors. The health and safety of all visitors to our premises is of paramount importance and as a building open to the public we must meet many regulations, regulated by various statutory authorities.
We currently:
Hold a current Public Entertainment License, issued annually by Southampton City Council, following inspection of the premises and satisfying such criteria as electrical installation inspections, evacuation procedures, emergency lighting testing.
Hold a current Fire Safety Certificate issued from the Hampshire Fire Brigade. We are subject to regular visits and inspections by the Fire Safety Officer.
Hold Public Liability Insurance as well as Building Insurance. Our insurers also undertake annual inspections of the premises.
Undertake our own risk assessments and regularly liaise with outside organisations over health and safety matters/risk assessments.
Have a comprehensive maintenance regime in place, with all plant and equipment and machinery covered by a maintenance contract and certified where necessary.
Employ Duty Managers on site who are trained in First Aid, Fire Evacuation, Health & Safety matters etc.
Our Health and Safety policies are regularly reviewed and revised and we work closely with an external heath and safety consultant to ensure ongoing compliance with health and safety regulations.
In addition, pupils/students from your school should be covered under your own insurance whilst they are off the premises on a 'official school visit'.
