  • Michael Ockwell
    Chief Executive
    E:  michael.ockwell@mayflower.org.uk

Michael Ockwell began his theatre career as an actor before moving into theatre management with Stoll Moss Theatres. Michael was House Manager at the London Palladium and then Theatre Manager of the Gielgud Theatre on Shaftesbury Avenue.

Michael became Managing Director of HQ Theatres and looked after HQT’s portfolio of seven regional theatres before joining the Grand Opera House, Belfast in March 2010.

Michael joined Mayflower Theatre in October 2012 as Chief Executive, a Director of Mayflower Enterprise Limited, a Director and Chairman of Music & Lyrics Ltd and a Director of the Dance Consortium. Michael is also a Director of Culture Southampton and is on the Southampton Board of Hampshire Chamber of Commerce.

Michael is a FA Level 1 qualified football coach and in his spare time coaches a local youth team. He supports West Ham United but is also a frequent visitor at St Mary’s. He has a fascination with the Incas and aims to visit Machu Picchu sometime very soon.

    Alison Harrison
    Director of Finance
    E: alison.harrison@mayflower.org.uk

Alison is determined to make all 230 staff financially minded before she retires... we just all hope she will be very old by then and forget her aim.

Her favourite productions range from Slava’s Snow Show (although she can't really explain what it's about), Priscilla Queen of the Desert (completely outrageous but totally entertaining), and Art, to Ballet and Miss Saigon. She can be heard most often muttering the words 'how much is that going to cost?'

Outside the theatre she likes creating adventures for her daughter, walking her local coastal paths or forest, or planning trips away.

    Tasha Finch
    Head of Customer Operations
    E: Tasha.finch@mayflower.org.uk

Since the arrival of Tasha's two children, she enjoys nothing more than having fun with the family in her spare time. Her 'relaxation' is baking, entertaining friends, and enjoying some retail therapy. Tasha's passions are travelling and a love of photography - she can always be relied upon by friends and family to 'capture the moment'! She always feels immensely proud when watching shows on Mayflower Theatre's stage. Her favourite productions include Les Misérables and Oliver.

  • Rachel Fox
    Head of Technical Operations
    E:  rachel.fox@mayflower.org.uk

Rachel does a lot of theatre things aside from her day job; including making costumes, set models and props. She can regularly be found in Ovation eating steak and drinking red wine. Rachel has been known to throw a few pots. She is obsessed with Depeche Mode, Cirque du Soleil and traveling the world. Rachel loves her duvet...

    Sarah Houston
    Head of Human Resources
    E: sarah.houston@mayflower.org.uk

Sarah’s passion (when not at work) is horses - she has two called Henrietta and The Diva (who can be a madam!)  She hacks out on the Forest and does a little bit of dressage.  Sarah loves dance and ballet so especially looks forward to seeing English National Ballet’s productions.  Sarah has been to the Isle of Wight festival and her favourite band is Coldplay. Sarah’s last supper would be roast beef and all the trimmings.

    Sarah Lomas
    Head of Sales and Marketing
    E: sarah.lomas@mayflower.org.uk

When Sarah is not at the theatre she is often found at a local sailing club; mostly reading a book or newspaper with a cuppa, rarely actually in a boat. She dreams of being a fantastic windsurfer, but is far too wobbly. Her favourite productions are the 25th Anniversary touring production of Les Misérables, Slava’s Snowshow and Matthew Bourne’s Edward Scissorhands. The theatre makes her cry – but it’s dark so nobody need know.

    Margarita Mifsud
Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive and Director of Finance
    E: margarita.mifsud@mayflower.org.uk

    Sara Scott
    Head of Creative Learning
    E: sara.scott@mayflower.org.uk

Sara’s large menagerie at home keeps her busy when not at work, including her three children and two rescued hens – Dipper and Nugget.

Her favourite places in the world are Grasmere in the Lake District and Butser Hill in Hampshire where she was married. Having spent years telling stories and touring festivals Sara is very glad to have a job with a roof at last – especially one as beautiful as Mayflower Theatre!
