Mayflower Theatre is once again working in partnership with Welsh National Opera to give young people the opportunity to participate, develop and learn skills across various art forms including drama, singing, composing and performing.
We’re looking for young people who are looking to gain new skills and enjoy a variety of art forms. You will create your own performance surrounded by passionate professionals currently working in the opera industry.
Following the successes of recent projects - 2015’s Hansel and Gretel and 2016’s In Parenthesis - we look forward to providing more young people (aged 10-18) with the opportunity to learn, develop and indulge in the world of opera.
A four-day residency will run during the 2017 Easter break. You will work with the WNO Creative Team to devise a public showcase, inspired by La bohème, through theatre, opera and movement, which will be performed on the final day. There will also be an opportunity for all participants to see La bohème with a friend or family member.
