Dance Along the South Coast

FOUR VENUES WORKING TOGETHER TO ENABLE YOU TO SEE MORE HIGH QUALITY PROFESSIONAL DANCE

In 2015 Mayflower Theatre, Southampton, The Point, Eastleigh, Pavilion Dance South West, Bournemouth and Lighthouse, Poole joined forces to offer audiences an opportunity to watch a variety of contemporary dance companies at every scale. The south coast venues are committed to presenting the very best in touring dance for audiences to experience across the region.

We believe we are presenting dance of the highest quality and want as many people as possible to enjoy the experience in our theatres. Following ticket package initiatives in 2015 and 2016 the venues have continued to collaborate on the programming and marketing of their dance offerings, working on the belief that audiences do not belong to one venue and should be encouraged to enrich their experience with dance across the region, having access to a wide variety of productions.

We celebrate Dance Along the South Coast with forthcoming eclectic productions ranging from Swiss Company Philippe Saire with Black Out on 8 November at Pavilion Dance South West, Birmingham Royal Ballet’s The Sleeping Beauty at Mayflower Theatre from 31 January – 3 February, 8 Minutes by Alexander Whitley Dance Company at The Point on 14 March and Motionhouse - Charge at Lighthouse, Poole on 27 March.

You can watch dance in different spaces and experience a variety of styles. Your local venues, working in partnership, invite you to dance along the south coast with us.
