Summer Youth Dance Project - THE Guys and THE Dolls

Summer Youth dance Project | THE Guys and THE Dolls

Mayflower Theatre is proud to announce our second Summer Youth Dance Project! Following the success of last year’s collaborative project with Rambert & ZooNation, this year we will be working with local acclaimed company ZoieLogic Dance Theatre and internationally renowned Birmingham Royal Ballet.

If you love physical dance, theatre and ballet then we have an absolute treat for you!

This year’s project will take inspiration from Guys & Dolls, using the original score and other music of the period, to create this innovative and exciting dance piece, which will be performed on our Mayflower Theatre stage on Sunday 13th August. ZoieLogic will be working with our young male dancers, exploring the “Guys” influence of the project, whilst Birmingham Royal Ballet will be delivering the “Dolls” element with our young female dancers, before combining both styles and techniques to create one unique live dance performance.

We are giving up to 50 local young people this amazing opportunity to work with two national leading dance companies and will be an exciting chance for young dancers aged 11 – 18 to meet new friends and develop their skills.
