Show Information

Synopsis

We are thrilled to be running these online drama sessions for young people with a passion for drama and theatre-making.

Each week participants will be inspired and guided as they develop their experience in theatre-making. Our programme gives young people the opportunity to be creative and express themselves using drama games, stage craft, improvisation, character and script work in a fun and supportive environment.
All sessions will take place online via Zoom.

Mayflower Youth Theatre gives local young people the chance to:

  • Learn new skills
  • Make new friends
  • Build confidence

Participants are welcome to try a session before committing to the group with a free taster session. Please ring the box office to book your taster: 02380 711811.

NT Connections

This term we are thrilled to be offering participants of Group 4 the opportunity to create and perform in a brand new play The IT by Vivienne Franzmann, directed by Jacquelyn Ockwell & commissioned by the National Theatre in their nationwide ‘Connections’ Youth Theatre Festival.

Each year the National Theatre commissions new plays for young people to perform, bringing together some of the UK's most exciting writers with the theatre-makers of tomorrow. MAST Mayflower Studios are proud to be a partner theatre of the festival as well as our Mayflower Youth Theatre participating in the Connections Festival.

Connections 2021 will involve talented young people from right across the UK, inspiring & entertaining audiences with plays for and about young people that are current, challenging and resonant. To get involved with this exciting opportunity simply book your place.
