Mayflower Youth Theatre is for young people with a passion for theatre.  We have weekly offers to accommodate all, whether you want to perform on-stage or support the show off-stage.

All groups give you the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and work with experienced theatre practitioners in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment.   As part of being a member of our Youth Theatre, you are given the opportunity to perform in Youth Theatre productions and at various events throughout the year. Recent performances include ‘Stop the Traffik’, Mela Festival, ‘What’s Next Southampton?’ and ‘Southampton’s People’s Pride’. You will also get a chance to watch a range of productions in both of our venues.

Blue Apple Youth Theatre

Drama, dance and singing groups for young people with learning disabilities run by professionals at Blue Apple Theatre and Mayflower Engage.

We are excited to launch our new youth theatre group for young people aged 15-21 years old with learning disabilities, for example, Down’s Syndrome, Williams Syndrome and Autism. There is a helpful explanation of what is meant by learning disability here.

You will get to perform in front of people, showing off what we’ve learned. It’s a great way to express your creativity, make friends, and gain confidence.
