The perfect cow-nterparts

This year, we enlisted the help of Charlie and Sian – two participants from our Mayflower Youth Theatre – to give our beloved Daisy the Cow her Southampton debut.

As long-standing members of Youth Theatre in their final year auditioning for drama schools, who better to trust with the role?

Both Charlie and Sian have been involved in many of our youth projects including Youth Theatre, Summer Youth Project, and Christmas Youth project for many years. You can catch both of them in our Christmas youth production of Wind in the Willows in December 2024 and our youth theatre production of Fame Jr. in February 2025 where they both will take the spotlight in leading roles.

The young people thoroughly enjoyed the day and the experience. They were grateful for the insightful and fun opportunity! Their personal favourite part was meeting Diversity and getting to walk through the park dressed as a panto cow!

Our Youth Theatre groups give young people the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and work with experienced theatre practitioners in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment. Here at Mayflower Youth Theatre, we have multiple group offerings whether you’re interested in developing your acting, dancing, singing or general theatre and stagecraft skills. There is something here for everyone.
