We offer young people aged 11-18 the opportunity to perform on the main stages for both Mayflower Theatre and MAST Mayflower studios through our Youth Projects.  In both projects, young people work with a professional creative team, taking a show from the first read through to final performances. These intensive rehearsal periods give participants a great opportunity to learn more about the performing arts whilst working to a common goal and making new friends. There are opportunities for performers and off-stage roles in the company.

Key times of the year for our Summer Youth Project:

  • Auditions for this project take place in March each year
  • Two-week rehearsal period taking place in August during the school holidays
  • Culminating in three performances on the Mayflower Theatre stage

 

Please note, there is a £250 fee to take part in the project, but free and discounted places are available. We also offer sibling discounts. All auditions are free.

Key times of the year for our Christmas Youth Production:

  • Auditions for this project take place in approx June/July
  • Rehearsal period includes Sundays throughout September, October, November, December as well as October half term
  • Culminating in a week-long run of shows in Studio 1 at MAST Mayflower Studios over the Christmas holidays

 

Please note, there is a £300 fee to take part in the project, but free and discounted places are available. We also offer sibling discounts. All auditions are free.
