Blue Apple Youth Theatre

Empowering young people with neuro disabilities to shine on stage and in life.

Blue Apple Youth Theatre is for young people aged 14–21 with learning disabilities, autism and other neuro disabilities.

Led by the experienced practitioners at Blue Apple Theatre in partnership with Mayflower, these fun, supportive and inclusive sessions give participants the opportunity to explore drama, dance and singing while developing performance skills, confidence and creativity.

The programme aims to support young people to build confidence, communication skills, friendships and creativity through the performing arts. Along the way, participants will have lots of fun as they share ideas, tell stories, use their imagination and discover new ways to express themselves.

Performing arts are about more than performances. Sessions encourage participants to work collaboratively, build friendships, be part of a creative community and develop skills that can support them both on and off the stage.

A highlight of the programme is the opportunity to work towards a large-scale public performance each year, giving participants the chance to perform for family, friends and the wider community while celebrating everything they have achieved.

Participants will work collaboratively with others, develop new skills, express themselves creatively and grow in confidence within a welcoming and supportive environment.

So, come and join us for fun-filled sessions that include acting, singing and dancing.
