A Summer of Football - Congratulations, Lionesses!

What a thrilling summer it’s been for football fans across the country.

We’re sending our heartfelt congratulations to the England Women’s Football Team on their incredible performance in UEFA Women’s EURO 2025. Their strength, skill, and unity on the pitch continue to captivate and inspire a nation – proving once again that football truly is coming home.

The Lionesses’ success is a powerful reminder of the impact that sport can have on national identity, personal pride, and collective hope. It’s about so much more than just the game – it’s about who we are, what we stand for, and how we move forward, together.

That spirit lies at the heart of Dear England, the critically acclaimed play by James Graham, which we’re delighted to be presenting at Mayflower Theatre from 13 – 17 January 2026. The production tells the remarkable story of Gareth Southgate’s transformation of the England Men’s Football Team – not just in tactics and technique, but in mentality, culture, and connection.

Following a sold-out run at the National Theatre and West End, Dear England explores the highs and heartbreaks of tournament football and the leadership behind a team learning to reframe failure, redefine masculinity, and embrace vulnerability in the pursuit of something greater.

Whether you’re a lifelong football fan, a lover of powerful theatre, or simply someone who’s been swept up in the pride and passion of the Lionesses’ journey, this show offers an unforgettable night out – full of heart, history, and hope.

Let’s continue the celebration of football – from pitch to stage – and honour the stories that shape us as a team, as a nation, and as individuals.
