Our friends at Cowes Fringe Festival make a grand comeback

The much-anticipated return of the Cowes Fringe Festival is set to dazzle audiences with an array of performances from an eclectic mix of talented artists. Now in its second year, the festival is back with a bang, promising an unforgettable experience for lovers of great entertainment.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Cowes, the Fringe Festival will take place from the 24 – 26 of May 2024, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of music and performances. Among the lineup are some truly exceptional artists, each bringing their unique flair and expertise to the stage. Managed by a local team and supported by a West End team, the Cowes Fringe promises a broad range of local and mainland talent again for 2024.

Dickens Double Bill

Gerald Dickens – actor, director, and great-great grandson of Charles Dickens – presents a double bill of plays celebrating the work of the great writer and his connections with the Isle of Wight.

Vincent and The Mermaid

Horse Box Theatre’s latest play for families is inspired by the story from local author Jules Marriner. After selling out the Isle of Wight Story Festival, they are bringing this hilarious, interactive, and accessible performance of Vincent and the Mermaid to Cowes Fringe. The perfect show for the whole family to enjoy.

Adult Acting Workshop

Whether you have experience in performance or have never tried it before, join this adult acting workshop led by an experienced practitioner from MAST Mayflower Studios. Participants will explore an actor’s approach to text with practical exercises to put theory into practice. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills and approach to performance. No experience required.

A renowned vocalist who has left an indelible mark on both Broadway and the West End. Recognised as the Queen of West End musicals from her starring roles in London and on Broadway, to name a few leading roles in, We Will Rock You, Wicked, Les Miserables, Cats, and Miss Saigon! She has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, Royal Variety Performance, the Laurence Olivier Awards, and the Queen’s Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace.

With a repertoire spanning various genres including pop, rock, funk, and soul, this talented group of musicians is guaranteed to keep audiences on their feet and dancing all night long.

DJ Gordon Mac

The Godfather of Dance Music, Gordon Mac is a highly innovative and successful entrepreneur. He was the first person to succeed in taking a pirate radio station to legalization in the UK, the youngest ever Managing Director of a radio station, and is renowned for creating the Kiss FM brand, Britain’s first dance music station. Gordon Mac continues to draw huge crowds DJing at venues across UK and Europe.

Jonjan Kavlakoglu

Jonjan Kavlakoglu is a virtuoso guitarist renowned for his technical prowess and innovative approach to music. Described as ‘James Brown meets Rodrigo y Gabriela’, Jonjan combines the athletic skill of passionate Flamenco with highly dynamic Funk playing.
