This past weekend, we were delighted to support the 10th anniversary of Southampton Pride with a spectacular performance of Firework, sung by Ann Sophie, who will play Satine in the upcoming production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical at Mayflower Theatre.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert
Following its run at Mayflower Theatre earlier this year, Priscilla Queen of the Desert remains one of musical theatre’s most joyful celebrations of unity, love and being unapologetically yourself. Its iconic drag queens, unforgettable soundtrack and message of being true to yourself have made it a beloved show within LGBTQ+ communities around the world.
Kinky Boots
Having previously strutted onto our Theatre’s stage, Kinky Boots is a powerful story about embracing individuality and celebrating difference. Through its themes of acceptance, inclusion and breaking down stereotypes, the show has become a modern LGBTQ+ musical favourite.
The Rocky Horror Show
A frequent returnee to our stage is the long-standing audience favourite The Rocky Horror Show, which has been challenging conventions and celebrating self-expression for more than 50 years. Its influence on LGBTQ+ culture and its message of freedom, acceptance and individuality have cemented its place as a true theatre icon.
Kiss of the Spider Woman
The recent co-production of Kiss of the Spider Woman at Mayflower Studios brought a powerful story of love, identity and human connection to our stage. Set against a backdrop of political oppression, it followed two prisoners who formed an unlikely connection while navigating prejudice, isolation and escapism.
Everybody's Talking About Jamie
Returning to Mayflower Theatre in 2027 is Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, the uplifting coming-of-age musical inspired by a teenager determined to be himself. Its celebration of identity, confidence and finding your place in the world continues to resonate with young LGBTQ+ people and their allies.
It's A Sin
We’ll also be welcoming It’s A Sin to our stage in 2027, which tells a moving story of friendship, love and resilience. Inspired by the experiences of young LGBTQ+ people during the HIV/AIDS crisis, this stage adaptation shines a light on the communities who fought for acceptance and change.
