Jill Low Funding Award

(This scheme is supported by the Jill Low Award) Jill Low was a Board member for Mayflower Studios from its inception and, prior to that, a board member for Mayflower Productions Limited. Her generosity and creative force are deeply missed by all. In recognition of the support Jill gave to the arts in the South, and the impact she had on Mayflower and Southampton we have established the Jill Low Funding Award – for artistic development and experiment. Jill Low dedicated her working life to the arts. She was a staunch advocate of developing new work and widening access to the arts. The new Jill Low Funding Award is to support those developing new ideas and undertaking artistic exploration. In particular the seed funding will support artists underrepresented in our industry and those at the beginning of their careers or at the start of a new creative project. We hope this initiative will honour the memory of Jill in a way we feel she would have most appreciated.
