Mayflower 100 Year celebrations group sign up

This is to be part of the Mayflower 100 Year celebrations group.

This centenary is a moment of national significance for the Mayflower organisation.

The 100 year celebration group has been convened to curate a series of events and activities which celebrate the rich 100 year history of Mayflower and to create a legacy as we look toward the next 100 years.
As well as reflecting on what has gone before we will consider what comes next.

This group will meet across the next 3 years in the run up to the centenary year.

The purpose of the group is to:
• To facilitate the wider organisations involvement in a programme of events over the 100th year of the organisation.
• To name the series of events with an inclusive branding that enables us to spotlight different aspects of our 100 hundred year history and launches us forward into the next 100 years
• To design, curate and deliver a series of events that highlight the key aspects our organisation under our areas of focus:
o Stages
o People
o Community
o Venues
Membership
The group is an inclusive group of individuals that represent our organisation within the four areas of focus. It will consist of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12. The Chair of the Working Group is the Creative Director.

The Outreach and Heritage Coordinator will also be a member of the group and will facilitate the group meetings.

Other attendees will be invited as relevant to different aspects of the work of the group and at key decision making moments.

Historical Context and Content
We recognise that exploring a 100 year history may inevitably include shows, events and language that do not chime with our current values and we will examine elements those within their original context.
Expectations

Groups Members will:
• Attend consistently and actively contribute and engage meaningfully in meetings
• Connect with their wider team and area of the business bringing forward ideas from others, not just their own

• Bring diverse and differing viewpoints that will enrich and challenge the programme of events
• Positively collaborate on achieving the best possible outcomes for the programme of work • Take forward actions outside of group meetings as agreed ensuring work is moved forward in a timely way
