Youth projects

We offer young people aged 11-18 the opportunity to perform on the main stages for both Mayflower Theatre and Mayflower studios through our Youth Projects.  In both projects, young people work with a professional creative team, taking a show from the first read through to final performances. These intensive rehearsal periods give participants a great opportunity to learn more about the performing arts whilst working to a common goal and making new friends.

Key times of the year for our Summer Youth Project:

  • Auditions for this project will take place early on in the year
  • Two-week rehearsal period, taking place during the school holidays
  • Culminating in several performances at Mayflower Theatre or Mayflower Studios (venue may vary per production)

 

Please note, there is a £250 fee to take part in the project, but free and discounted places are available. We also offer sibling discounts. All auditions are free.

Key times of the year for our Christmas Youth Production:

  • Auditions for this project will take place early on in the year
  • Rehearsal period includes Sundays throughout September, October, November, December, as well as October half term
  • Culminating in a run of shows in Studio 1 at Mayflower Studios over the Christmas holidays

 

Please note, there is a £300 fee to take part in the project, but free and discounted places are available. We also offer sibling discounts. All auditions are free.
