Inside access performances

What are access performances?

Audio Described performances
Features a live commentary on what is happening on-stage relayed to headphone-style receivers through our infra-red system. If you do not require audio description, this does not impact the performance.

BSL Interpreted performances
Features a BSL interpreter who interprets the dialogue spoken on-stage as it is being performed. The signer will stand off to the side of the stage so the action on-stage is fully visible.

Captioned performances
Features captions shown on electronic displays at either sides of the stage or above the stage at the same time words are spoken or sung. This can be helpful to follow the dialogue of the show.

Relaxed performances
Features a casual approach to audience noise and movement whilst the house lights remain lit. Some technical elements of the show may be altered such as quieter music, reduced surprising effects, and reduced strobe lighting and pyrotechnics.

Chilled performances
Features a casual approach to audience noise and movement, but there are no technical changes made to the show.

Touch Tours
A separate pre-show event that allows visually impaired customers and those supporting them the opportunity to familiarise themselves with elements of the set, props and costumes.
