Artist Led Surgery Day
9 September 2026
Event details
This event is available to our Artist Network members.
Are you an artist or a company with a brilliant idea but aren’t sure where to start? We’re here to provide the support you need to make it happen.
Our artist surgeries are an opportunity for member’s of the Artist Network to gain advice and feedback from a member of the Mayflower Artist Development team. For the first time in 2026, we are inviting local artists to host surgery days to offer a different perspective, wealth of knowledge and practical advice from their own lived experience.
We are delighted that our first artist hosting a surgery day will be Lizzy Maries. Lizzy can offer guidance on:
-
- Making creative work more accessible and sustainable
- Navigating care responsibilities alongside an arts practice
- What inclusive practice can look like in reality (not just on paper)
- Creating work with others through collectives and shared making
Lizzy is also an accredited RD1st Coach and can offer 30-minute coaching conversations.
Lizzy will be offering 30-minute bookable slots on Wednesday 9 September at Mayflower Studios. Slots will be first-come, first-served so book now to avoid disappointment.
