Mayflower Junior Writers

Do you like writing? Would you like to work with a professional writer?

ArtfulScribe and Mayflower Participation are inviting young people to get involved with a regular creative writing group that will help develop skills, encouraging young writers to share work and receive feedback in a respectful way that empowers voices. Meet new like-minded people and have lots of fun along the way.

Participants will explore creative writing through practical exercise’s and workshops on topics like characterisation, dialogue, setting and plot. Writers will work across genres including non-fiction, fiction, poetry and script-writing.

Weekly sessions will take place on Saturday mornings during term times.

There will be opportunities to watch performances at Mayflower Studios or Mayflower Theatre as part of this programme. Opportunities are likely to be once per term, depending on show availability, and tickets may be free or available at a small fee.
