Spring term for Mayflower Youth Theatre has returned! Join us as we run weekly Youth Theatre sessions in drama and musical theatre for young people.
Our Youth Theatre groups give young people the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and work with experienced theatre practitioners in a fun, supportive and inclusive environment.
Members are given the opportunity to perform in various productions and at events throughout the year. Recent performances include A Chorus Line, NT Connections Festival, and many more.
Mayflower Youth Theatre is for all young people, we also offer a subsidy scheme to enable everyone to take part. Our scheme can cover up to half the cost of the standard fee, and support those who would otherwise be unable to attend.

Costs range from £120 – £180 depending on the group, please see below price bands. Subsidies are available for those who qualify.

Youth Theatre groups
Mayflower Junior Youth Theatre
Academic years 3-6
An introduction to the three disciplines of acting, singing and dance. This is an opportunity to explore theatre in a safe and fun environment whilst developing communication and teamwork skills.
Musical Groups
Academic years 7-9 and 10-13
Key skills: Acting, Singing and Dance with Musical Theatre opportunities.
Mayflower Musical Youth Theatre is a place where you can express yourself in a fun, safe environment whilst developing performance skills through workshops, audition preparation and productions.
The fee for each term is £180 (subsidies are available – see below) and should either be paid in full before the start of term or in three instalments.
Quarter Subsidy: £120
Subsidy: £90
Payments can be paid in full for the whole term by 5 January 2025 or you can select a payment plan. This will give you the option to pay in three instalments of £60. The payment plan must be created by 5 January 2025.
Drama Groups
Academic years 7-9 and 10-13
Key skills: Drama, theatre, and stagecraft with play opportunities.
Explore theatre and drama whilst gaining valuable skills including confidence and problem solving. Mayflower Drama Youth Theatre is a place young people can make new friends, explore themselves and the world around them in a safe and encouraging environment.
The fee for each term is £120 (subsidies are available – see below) and should either be paid in full before the start of term or in three instalments.
Quarter Subsidy: £90
Half Subsidy: £60
Payments can be paid in full for the whole term by 16 January 2025 or you can select a payment plan. This will give you the option to pay in three instalments of £40. The payment plan must be created by 16 January 2025.
Subsidies
There are a limited number of subsidies available each term. These must be applied for on a termly basis and are not guaranteed for the whole year. These can be awarded on a financial or talent basis.
Applicants applying for a subsidy should complete their application before term starting accompanied by the first instalment. You will be notified by the beginning of term whether your application has been successful.
