Event details

If you’re thinking about setting up a not-for-profit company, Community Interest Company (CIC) or charity, this training will help you explore the options available and give you the information to decide your next steps.

We will cover:
When and why to set up an organisation
Different types of legal structures
Choosing the right kind of structure for your work
Defining your purpose or charitable objects
Nuts and bolts e.g. bank accounts, insurance
Practical next steps

The session will be practical, jargon-busting, and will give you the chance to get your questions answered so you can get on with developing your work.

“Thanks again, you broke through a lot of the jargon and big business words that absolutely terrified me when I first started researching by myself!”
– Ffion

Christina Poulton
Arts Organisations- Setting up an Organisation training:

I have worked for arts and not for profit organisations, and with individual artists across the UK, since Linkin Park were topping the charts. I support organisations and freelancers to make your work easier to manage and fund, so you can focus on the creative stuff. I’ve worked with hundreds of people on their organisation set up, including training on how to choose a legal structure, advice sessions and successful incorporation of 16 charities and community interest companies in the last couple of years.
