Variety From the Heart

Cardiac care charity, Heartbeat, is returning to Mayflower Theatre for another unforgettable evening of entertainment.

Continuing the ‘From the Heart’ series of shows, Variety from the Heart promises a spectacular mix of talent from both seasoned professionals and rising local stars. Expect a dazzling line-up featuring musical theatre, live music, side-splitting comedy, and specialist variety acts that will leave you inspired and entertained.

Starring the legendary powerhouse of the music industry, Shayne Ward. Selling over 3 million albums and 5 million singles worldwide, with more than 2 billion streams to his name, Shayne’s talents go beyond music. Soap fans will also recognise Shayne for playing Aidan Connor in Coronation Street, and more recently in the Paramount/Channel 5 series The Good Ship Murder. Shayne also appeared last year in Series 22 of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The show will be hosted by none other than ‘Comedy Wordsmith’ Lloyd Hollett, bringing his quick wit and infectious energy to the stage. The show will also feature the comedian and ventriloquist star of Mayflower Theatre’s 2025/26 pantomime, Max Fulham – combining stand-up with his skilled ventriloquism and puppetry.

Heartbeat is a regional charity established in 1992, supporting individuals of all ages who are diagnosed with congenital and cardiovascular disease primarily by supporting the work of the Wessex Cardiac Unit based at the University Hospital Southampton. This special event helps to raise awareness and funds for this truly honourable cause.
