Football Matches  
Please always allow good time to get to the theatre and plan your visit. On some occasions when there is a match at Southampton FC the city centre is very busy. Please see a list of fixtures here.

Parking

The Theatre does not have its own parking. There are two large multi-storey car parks within 5 minutes walk of the Theatre. MSCP West Park Road (SO15 1FZ - closed for entry/exit from midnight until 5.30am) and Grosvenor Square (SO15 2BE) both have 500+ spaces. Charging times vary at both. 
 
Southbrook Road and Commercial Road also offer limited on-road parking. Early arrival is recommended.  
 
There is one space available directly opposite the theatre for blue badge holders.

Access and Drop-offs

A lay-by, directly next to our Accessible Entrance, allows cars or small vehicles to pull off of Commercial Road to drop off disabled passengers. The parking bays on the opposite side of Commercial Road do not exclusively cater for Mayflower Theatre.

Empire Lane is the designated drop-off point for mini-buses.

Blechynden Terrace is the designated drop-off point for coaches.

Transportation
By Car

The theatre is a short drive from both Junction 5 (Westbound) and Junction 3 (Eastbound) of the M27 and Junction 14 of the M3 following signs for the City Centre. Our postcode is SO15 1GE.

By Bus or Coach

We are a 5 minute walk from Southampton City Centre, Central Station bus stops (SA, SB, SC and SD) which all have local services run by First Group and Bluestar. 

Unilink also provide services to Central Station from the University of Southampton and Southampton Solent University. 

Southampton Coach Station, run by National Express, is a 10 minute walk away and has services that run to and from all London Airports and all over the country.

By Train

Southampton Central Station has direct lines to Bristol, Weymouth, Bournemouth, Salisbury, Brighton, London Waterloo and many other major routes, along with local services including Southampton Airport. The station is a 5 minute walk away when exiting from Platform 1.

By Ferry (Isle of Wight)

As well as travelling on the car ferry, Red Funnel operates a passenger service called the Red Jet. This service includes a free bus that is timed to meet the ferries, and runs to and from Southampton Central Station. Passengers will be dropped at Stop SF on Platform 4 and will need to cross the bridge to the north side of the track for the Theatre.
