What we do

Mayflower Theatre and MAST Mayflower Studios are both run as charitable trusts. As charities, we aim to: 

• Preserve and maintain our venues for the community. 
• Provide a diverse programme of quality arts experiences. 
• Be valuable to the community and local cultural offering. 
• Serve as creative hubs and centres of excellence for culture in Southampton. 
• At MAST, be community led with engagement and consultation at the heart.

To achieve our aims, we: 

• Present shows and events from large-scale West End productions to smaller-scale community projects 
• Offer exciting opportunities for children, young people, students, schools, colleges and community groups 
• Provide bespoke creative workshops, events and backstage tours 
• Offer a Higher Education Bursary Scheme for those wishing to pursue a career in the arts 
• Work closely with many different organisations to deliver community-based projects that are accessible 
• Run training programmes designed to nurture and inspire young performers in Southampton 
• Support budding and seasoned artists to develop their craft through a series of events and schemes
