Production Arts
12 September - 21 November 2024
Event details
We are excited to announce the return of Production Arts for the second year in a row.
Production arts is an application based group of young people in academic years 12 – 13 exploring the different elements of backstage. This off-stage opportunity provides the chance to learn new skills and apply them in professional settings with industry experts.
Last year, Production Arts took part in a series of masterclasses involving lighting, sound, stage managing, stage makeup, videography, and set building. This gave some young people an opportunity to work on various projects throughout the year, including our Christmas Youth production of A Christmas Carol, Mayflower Youth Theatre production of A Chorus Line, NT Connections – Periodicals, and our Summer Youth Project, Bugsy Malone.
We have also even been fortunate to give some of the young people a work experience option over the NT Connections Festival period and First Encounters – My Paper Boat, our new touring Theatre in Education play.
This is a great opportunity if you are looking to further your career off-stage, or if you are interested in the magic of behind the stage!
Applications will close at 5pm on Sunday 14 July 2024.
