Starting a career in the Arts
Each year we run a Creative Careers Conference designed for ages 13-17. This is an opportunity to go ‘behind the scenes’ of a cultural & creative industry and discuss new and alternative routes in to the Creative Arts. These events will draw on the expertise within our theatre; ranging from marketing, sales, and technical.
Higher Education Bursaries
Our Bursary scheme is currently closed until further notice
As part of our work to support the next generation of theatre makers we offer a bursary scheme to local young people. The Bursary scheme aims to support young people based in Hampshire, who would like to pursue a career in theatre whether that is as a performer, a technician or an arts administrator. This bursary scheme is being facilitated by Mayflower Theatre and is awarded to young people who reside in Hampshire. Through this scheme young people have the opportunity to access funding to support training or development opportunities that pertain to the arts.
After School Clubs
